Is the Pope for real?

Ok,so now could it be that the devil wasn't in the Roman Catholic Church before?Could it be that the pope before that was genuine?I really don't know because the Bible says that the Roman empire was ruling at that time,and the Romans were the ones who crucified Jesus.Now the thing i dont know is whether there was a pope in Jesus' time.I really do.But from what i've been following about the pope and other things,it looks like to me that this pope isn't for real at all.He comes out in the open as genuine and behind the scenes he is a different person.In 2008, are August when Mark Woodman came to Zambia to do a seminar,one was on the pope and scandal.He was just trying to say if the Pope is supposed to be our earthly father in the place of Jesus,why isnt he humble? Why is he so pomp and why are they so many scandals directing to him? For example, there was a scandal about a Father Lawrence Murphy who molested young deaf boys.A letter of complaint was written to the pope telling him to punish this priest but nothing happened.Instead he kept quiet about it.He decided not to do anything.Now Murphy had personally written to the Pope and told him not to punish him(Murphy),because he had repented.And he wanted to live in dignity.This all happened in Wisconsin. Well, if you were truly sent from God to lead the people and they call you Holy Father,i don't think they should be anything wrong with you.You should be perfect,in order to show an example to the rest of the people.

Now in another article i read it was talking about "Pope Benedict condemns petty gossip over child sexual abuse".It was just saying how the pope was talking about how faith in God led someone towards the courage of not allowing oneself to be intimidated by the petty gossip of dominant opinion. He also spoke about "how man can fall to the lowest".In a way, they say its like he was just trying to use the name of the Lord to cover up his sin.They also said the reason why he did that was because "it was intended to sum up the feelings of the church at this difficult time when it confronts the plague of paedophillia". Ya,so now the Vatican are being asked a lot of questions about the way the Pope is handling these sex abuse cases.I dont know but for me am worried for the people who worship this guy,he really does seem suspect to me.The Bible even prophecies about him. As the days go on,im gonna be researching on him on a lot of things including the protestant churches under him and i'll see what i'll get.
