Mary,the Holy Mother and the Pope

Why does the Pope and the catholics worship Mary,the Holy Mother?They believe that Mary is the one who takes the sins up to Jesus then God.But why do they believe that when in the other churches they believe something else?This is one question i find hard to answer so i decided to ask some catholics why they believe these things. One catholic person said that she doesn't actually know why she has those beliefs, she even went on to say that she was born to catholic parents and so she just follows that and depends on the priests to guide her. Another one said that since Jesus was born to Mary,it makes her holy and so she is the one who listens to people on this earth and asks Jesus to forgive them.So i asked many other people. The most important person i asked amongst these was my dad, since he was born catholic and he converted to another denomination. He just told me this "I honestly didn't understand those beliefs, i just did like i was told to do".Another thing which sparks me is the whole thing of confessing sins to the priest, now that is just crazy, my dad told me he never ever used to do that he just thought that was very dangerous.My cousin (who is also catholic) told me that one man went to confess to the priest that he had killed someone.And the priest, asked for the details and told him to go deeper and deeper. In the end he called the police and that guy was arrested.Ok, so i laughed not because it was funny, i laughed because i thought these "priests" were holy men, they weren't supposed to tell anyone, they were just supposed to take it to God and ask God to forgive their sins.


Now coming to the Pope,how does he convince all these believers to believe that Mary is holy and that she is the one people should be worshipping her.Well basically what i can say is i think there is a hidden power behind him, someone greater than him;one who gives the pope power to do all these things, the Black Pope.Now this man isn't black because of the name he is given,they say its because everything he does is hidden, only people within that society would know every single thing he's done.
